Bedside Remedies.

We've seen a lot of what's in my bag tags. Here's a what's on my bedside table tag instead. I recently noticed how much stuff I have beside me when I sleep to either help me sleep better or reduce any physical discomfort I am having before I go to bed.

From L-R:

A roll of tissue paper - For those days when I have annoying flu or sinus or simply to clean up water I may have spilt.

Thermos Travel Mug - I drink a lot of water and I've been keeping a cup beside me since I was a kid so I can have a sip or two when I wake up in the middle of the night or in the morning.

Nasal Spray - for my sinus problem

Eye Glo - Cause I have dry eyes (an optometrist confirmed this recently). Also, been using this for years to help me sleep better.

Simple Eye Roll-On - Helps reduce eye bags/pouches/dark circles. Plus its cooling texture helps me sleep better too!

Dexaltin Oral Paste - This was here cause I had a bad ulcer problem weeks ago and used this every night to heal it.

Vicks Vaporub - For days when I have problem sleeping. I rub this on my nose and it usually makes me sleep better. Good for blocked nose too.

A Swiss army knife - This was a gift from Switzerland and its authentic! It's here because crime rate in Malaysia is really high recently and I feel better knowing I have a weapon beside me every night. HAHA!

Johnsons Baby Lotion - I love the scent!! Helps with sleeping as well.

Oil of Eucalyptus - I don't really use this but I rub this on my chest when I have a cough. Also helps with sleeping cause of the Eucalyptus scent!

Metsal Heat Rub - For muscle pains/back aches/sprains or the dreaded monthly cramps!

A book - This is the last resort if I really can't sleep for hours. A book usually does the trick ;)

Air-cond remote - I don't like sleeping with the air-cond on the whole night cause it will be too cold and I don't like using blankets (yes, I'm weird). So I'll usually just wait till the room reaches my optimum temperature and then I'll turn it off.

Thank you for taking time to read this! I must have sounded like an insomniac with all these remedies to help sleep better. Truth is, I am a strong believer in sufficient rest so I try to get at least 8 hours of shut-eye a day. What are your remedies??

  2. Woah! I'm really loving the template/theme of this site. It's simple,
yet effective. A lot of times it's challenging to get that "perfect balance" between superb usability and appearance. I must say you've done a very good job with this.

In addition, the blog loads extremely quick for
me on Internet explorer. Exceptional Blog!
